Bio

Edwin Conway is Chief Executive Officer of Future Standard, a global private investments asset manager headquartered in Philadelphia. He brings more than 30 years of global leadership experience across private markets, public markets, distribution and investing, with a track record of building and scaling investment platforms, expanding client access and leading large global teams across alternatives, institutional distribution and global capital markets.

Prior to joining Future Standard, Mr. Conway spent 13 years at BlackRock, serving in several senior leadership roles and as a member of the firm’s Global Executive Committee. Most recently, he was Global Head of Equity Private Markets, where he led BlackRock’s private markets equity investing platform across direct private equity, venture and growth equity, infrastructure, real estate and secondaries. He also oversaw the firm’s Global Capital Markets platform, transition capital initiative and other capabilities supporting private markets strategies globally.

From 2019 to 2023, Mr. Conway led the expansion of BlackRock’s alternatives platform as Global Head of BlackRock Alternatives, spanning private equity, infrastructure, real estate, credit, hedge funds and multi-alternatives strategies. Earlier at BlackRock, he was Global Head of the Institutional Client Business, where he led institutional client strategy and the delivery of the firm’s investment capabilities to sovereign wealth funds, public and private pension plans, foundations, endowments and investment consultants worldwide.

Before joining BlackRock, Mr. Conway was a Partner and Senior Managing Director at Blackstone, where he served as Global Head of Investor Relations and Business Development. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Arden Asset Management and Credit Suisse Asset Management in London and New York.

Mr. Conway earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin.
