Rob Lawrence

Rob Lawrence serves as Managing Director and Global Head of Real Estate at Future Standard. In this role, Mr. Lawrence oversees the firm’s real estate initiatives and manages the FS Credit REIT in partnership with its sub-adviser, Rialto Capital Management, LLC.

Mr. Lawrence has more than 30 years of investment experience in global commercial real estate including 17 years at Bear Stearns/JPMorgan Chase. At JP Morgan, he was the Head of the Securitized Products Group in Asia, where he managed the combined JP Morgan and Bear Stearns trading books. Mr. Lawrence was a member of the JP Morgan Japan Business Committee. Before the merger with JPMorgan in 2008, he was a Senior Managing Director and the Co-Head of Origination at Bear Stearns and a founding member of the firm’s Global CMBS department.

He holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and an MS in Real Estate Investment and Development from the Schack Institute of Real Estate at New York University.

Mr. Lawrence is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
