FS Investments and Portfolio Advisors colleagues partner with LSA Family Health Service after-school program

PHILADELPHIA, November 9, 2023 — This November 2023, colleagues from FS Investments and Portfolio Advisors partnered with the Little Sisters of the Assumption (LSA) Family Health Service in East Harlem, New York to support their after-school enrichment program. This was the first joint service opportunity between FS Investments and Portfolio Advisors since the combination of the two firms in June 2023.

Twelve volunteers provided one-on-one tutoring and homework help for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, assisting with reading, writing and math assignments. After completing homework, the students and volunteers got to play some educational games together.

Additionally, colleagues from the FS Investments New York office supported LSA by making a generous contribution to the organization during the annual FS Holiday Gift Drive.  

LSA Family Health Service is a nonprofit in East Harlem focused on strengthening and empowering vulnerable families and children by meeting their basic needs for food, healthcare, education and safe housing. LSA operates with the belief that affirming families in their own dignity improves the entire community.
