Volunteers help rejuvenate West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, Friday, April 19, 2024 — FS Investments proudly sponsored ACHIEVEability’s first-ever Impact Day, joining over 500 corporate and community volunteers to help rejuvenate West Philadelphia.

Colleagues assisted in opening three community gardens in the neighborhood. They spent the day pulling weeds, preparing plant beds, and planting seeds, vegetable sprouts and fruit trees.

ACHIEVEability works to permanently break the generational cycle of poverty for low-income, single-parent and homeless families in West Philadelphia. The nonprofit oversees a wide variety of programs dedicated to higher education, affordable housing, supportive services, community and economic development, and accountability.
